Meet Our Staff

We have an experienced, dedicated and loving staff at Westside Baptist Preschool! Our staff are all certified in Early Childhood Education and stay current each year with professional development training related to early childhood education. All staff are required to pass a background check and are CPR and First Aid trained.

Pamela Gonzales, Director

Pamela Gonzales has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 25 year, all of which has been at Westside Baptist Preschool. She has been a teacher in almost every classroom and has been Director since 2016. Her favorite aspects of directing the school are creating a warm, family atmosphere in the school, helping teachers with whatever they need to excel in their profession, and spending time getting to know each student and family. She loves having fun with her staff and looks for ways to inspire excellence in each of them.

Mrs. Cynthia

Assistant Dirctor & VPK Assistant

Mrs. Cynthia has worked in Early Childhood Education for over 25 years. She has worked at Westside Baptist Preschool since 2005. She is also a member of Westside Baptist Church, She has 1 son and 2 cats and 2 dogs. In her free time she enjoys going to the beach, listening to music, and going on walks with her dogs. She loves working with children, watching them grow, and seeing the progress made as they move forward in their learning. Her greatest goal is to make a difference in the children’s lives. In 2013, she was presented with the teacher of the year award through Lakeshore Professional Development Children Count Conference.

Debbbie Escalera

Church Administrator

Ms. Debbie is the Church Secretary of Westside Baptist Church and our school’s Bookkeeper. She manages our tuition, payroll, deposits, and all other financial aspects of our school.p.

Ms. Melissa

VPK Teacher

Ms. Melissa is an alumni of Westside Baptist Preschool and graduated from high school with certification in Early Childhood Education. She began working at Westside in 2008 and has over 10 years of experience and is close receiving an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has aspirations of earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development.She enjoys working in ECE because she loves assisting in laying the foundation for their future education. She is also a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Ms. Clelia has worked at Westside Baptist Preschool for over a year. She started as a floater and is now the teacher full time for the younger 3 year olds. She is also a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Gaby Balas

Toddler Teacher

Ms. Gaby is an alumini of Westside Baptist Preschool and began working with us in 2017. She is a member of Westside Baptist Church and serves as a Sunday school teacher. In her free time she enjoys painting and drawing, She believes working with children, especially toddlers, is such an enriching experience and she loves to see how they grow and develop. She loves their curiosity about their and their reactions to new things.p.

Mrs. Debra

Infant Teacher

Mrs, Debra has worked with us since 2015 and has over 35 years in Early Childhood Education. She is a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. She has 1 daughter and 3 grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys reading and spending time with family. She has always had a love for children and can’t imagine doing anything else. “Westside is a loving, family oriented childcare facility and I feel a tremendous amount of love and care here.”

Ms. Katie

Infant/Toddler Floater

Ms. Katie has been working at Westside Baptist Preschool since May 2013 and has over 20 years of experience in Early Child Education. She also has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Boynton. In her free time she loves to read, go to the beach or pool, and shopping. She works part time in our infant and toddler rooms. She enjoys working with them because she loves seeing them grow and learn new things.
